The first Open Call of the European project PowerUp NetZero, dedicated to business innovation and technology adoption services, is now officially open.
The call is aimed at SMEs and start-ups interested in receiving financial support for the planning phase of Net-Zero Technologies, covering the costs of services such as:
- Technical and economic feasibility studies
- Technology adoption roadmaps
- Integration planning and basic engineering
- Digital services for Net-Zero adoption
- Circularity, sustainability, ESG, and compliance support
- Go-to-market and scaling support
The call will allocate a total budget of EUR 380,000 to support at least 19 European SMEs and start-ups. Each beneficiary may receive up to EUR 20,000 as a lump sum, covering up to 80% of eligible costs, while the remaining 20% must be co-financed by the beneficiary.
All activities must be related to at least one of the project’s five Net-Zero technologies (solar energy, batteries and energy storage, hydrogen technologies, sustainable biogas/biomethane, and carbon capture and storage (CCS)).

We encourage companies, stakeholders, and local organizations to share the initiative through their communication channels and networks, thereby helping to ensure broad participation and to promote the opportunities offered by the PowerUp NetZero project.
SMEs and start-ups established in an EU Member State or in a country participating in the Single Market Programme are eligible to apply, provided they have at least one closed and validated financial year. Applications must be submitted in English by 30 July 2026 at 17:00 CEST.
