Italtecnica was founded in 1985 by Mario Cavagnero, whose long-standing collaboration with Conrero gave him the opportunity to gain deep insight into both the national and international motorsport scene. This led him to work closely with Jean Todt during the early years of the Peugeot Talbot Sport team\u2019s debut in the World Rally Championship, and later to continue supporting the French team during its transition to Rally Raid competitions.
\nThe extensive experience acquired in technical development and team management was further strengthened during the 15-year collaboration with the Paris-based team, contributing to motorsport programs for prestigious brands such as Ferrari and Maserati.
\nDespite its strong position among the elite of Italian and European motorsport companies, Italtecnica was established as a family-run business. In 2016, the second generation took the lead with Carlo Cavagnero, now Technical Director of Italtecnica. His vision, combined with outstanding technical expertise, enabled the company to further expand in the field of engine development.
