Climate change

The context regards the technologies and systems for adaptation to climate change, which concerns water, energy and road infrastructure systems that, as a result of climate change, require innovation for their effective function in the new climactic conditions. The context also includes solutions for  forecasting, monitoring and alerting industrial and anthropic risk..

Technological objectives:

Efficiency and safety of the water and energy networks and infrastructures

For example: Advance management of water loss in the distribution networks - Systems for detectiong structural conditions and leaks in water, electrical and hydrocarbon networks - Technologies and solutions for extraordinary maintenance of water network and of hydrocarbon networks with low impact and low costs

Protection of infrastructures from natural risks

For example: Forecasting systems, monitoring and warning of hydrogeological risk - Solutions for the safety and renovation of infrastructures following hydrogeological and natural events

Security and management of emergencies arising from natural and man-made risks

For example: Systems for forecasting, monitoring and alerting industrial and anthropic risk - Sensors and systems for the detection of pollutants - Solutions for the safety and renovation of infrastructure following anthropic - Solutions for emergency management of housing services, energy, waste and water as a result of disasters
