Objective of the project

The Mecaprom project aims to cover a market niche by producing, initially, small quantities (around 500–1000 vehicles per year), developing compact vehicles for the transport of goods and people (pick-ups), targeted at public administrations, corporate fleets, and microcars.

The R&D project aims at the development, prototyping, and production of modular and scalable propulsion systems, designed to equip the Epic0 vehicle (long wheelbase), also adapted to the Epic0 Compact (short wheelbase) in the RWD – Rear Wheel Drive version, and the Epic4 in the AWD – All Wheel Drive version, by structuring a completely innovative system architecture, both in traction and storage, building on experiences and solutions already tested in the laboratory.

RICADUTE PREVISTE SULLA COMPETITIVITÀ DELLE IMPRESE COINVOLTE

The development of a modular propulsion system, and in particular the concept applied to the design of the storage system, will make it possible to complete the Epic0 vehicle range with a version offering high mobility capacity and high energy efficiency, to undertake the development and engineering of vehicles in categories above L7e, and to position the company as a supplier of components and integrated systems for eMobility applications, not only in the Road Vehicles sector but also in other transport domains.
