Technologies

Non-relational DB: unlike normal relational databases, where an Entity-Relationship model is defined, the project involves the acquisition and historicization of data from all field components. Internet of Things: the project involves the introduction and validation of IoT methodologies and technologies to verify their applicability within production contexts.

Introduction of cloud solutions, impact on the processes of a reality characterized by strong industrial secrecy. Ergonomics: design of an intuitive HMI that has the typical features of web interfaces (buttons, contextual menus, scrollbars etc.), as opposed to the interfaces of legacy systems for which specific skills are required (think SCADA standards for interfaces).

Objective of the project

In the project, the activity develops a plant efficient energy management system (Energy Management System) capable of collecting information from real-time monitoring systems energy consumption and validating improvement solutions.
The sensor systems developed will be compatible with the industrial environment of production lines and cost-effective solutions in order to enable wide deployment.
The ultimate goal is to create an intuitive and fully customizable tool that will allow different stakeholders to model relevant processes and obtain summary reports needed to activate corrective actions to reduce consumption.

RICADUTE PREVISTE SULLA COMPETITIVITÀ DELLE IMPRESE COINVOLTE

For MICRONTEL, participation in the project provides, above all, an opportunity to open up to new markets and business areas, such as sensor technology, that appear complementary to its current focus, with solutions that can be Engineered to constitute a product also intended for markets other than the automotive sector. For C-System, the planned developments and experiments will enable the acquisition of specific technologies and experiences on production processes in the automotive sector, which can be used for their subsequent capitalization in the context ofindustrial automation with Energy Management functionalities. For CRF, the technological solution developed during the project could become the basis for identifying and implementing strategies aimed at managing industrial processes and their related energy consumption, with significant impacts not only in economic and reputational terms, but above all in terms of compliance with emission restrictions set by international regulations.

COLLABORAZIONE ATTIVATA, SIA TRA IMPRESE CHE CON ORGANISMI DI RICERCA

Within the ENEPRO project, CRF will collaborate with SIEMENS for the joint development of a software tool that will include the non-relational database designed to manage the acquisition and storage of data from sensors associated with the production processes under examination. The basic model was initially developed from an earlier CRF collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Turin.

RUOLO SVOLTO DAL POLO (anche in prospettiva)

Some aspects are still being defined and will depend on how the technological solutions are developed.

MODALITÀ DI DIFFUSIONE DEI RISULTATI

The project results will be in terms of reporting and hardware. During the course of the project, participation in targeted conferences and the preparation of technical papers are planned to disseminate the project’s content and approach, while the project partners will be able to replicate the sensor and control components for their respective reference markets.
