At the current state of the art, the available components allow the transmission of only two signals, with limitations on operating temperatures.
The new ceramic smart pad will enable the acquisition of up to twelve signals and withstand very high temperatures under normal running conditions.

Objective of the project
he objective of the project is to develop a component with the appropriate characteristics to meet the need for managing processable signals, suitable for application under the most critical conditions encountered within an electric or hybrid vehicle (limited dimensions, temperature, vibrations, environmental agents, etc.), such as the connection between the wheel, braking system, and control unit.

The project is aimed at creating a network of suppliers in Piedmont capable of producing the product. At the current stage, it can be assumed that a manufacturing facility may need to be established in the Cuneo area to reach a production capacity of approximately 100 million connectors, with a significant impact in terms of job creation. Consequently, the potential industrial spin-off is highly relevant.
