Objective of the project

The project aims to develop a demonstrator plant of a high-efficiency PTO (Power Take-Off) system for the management of renewable energy sources in isolated grids. In this project, a PTO system demonstrator (TRL 7) will be built, complete with components and management algorithms required for operation and testing through simulation of integration into an isolated grid/smart grid. The project will conclude with a techno-economic analysis and the preparation of a business plan for different scenarios.

The Polytechnic provides expertise in renewable energy and isolated grid management, as well as the results obtained from previous research activities on the subject.

The results obtained will be duly published in journals and presented at national and international conferences, contributing to consolidating the key role that the Polytechnic plays in Italy and Europe in the field of technology.
