Objective of the project

The project envisaged the development of a wireless geotechnical, environmental and structural monitoring system, capable of creating widespread networks with a low energy impact, equipped with an intelligence residing in a field ‘controller’ device, located in areas and structures considered critical as they are potentially subject to hydro-geological instability phenomena. Using Capetti Elettronica data loggers, it was possible to monitor both on-site and remotely service status of rockfall networks located in Val di Susa and Val Pelline.

  • refinement of knowledge regarding the monitoring of geo-hydrological instability phenomena
  • increase in the production efficiency of the monitoring systems and services offered (provision of standard instrument kits for the various failure scenarios).

  • greater interest from public and private clients such as:
    • public administrations
    • bodies responsible for monitoring and safeguarding safety with respect to natural risks

  • Preparation of advertising documentation for the promotion of the companies involved (brochures, case histories on the web, and film)
